　あけましておめでとうございます。

めでたくNEON O'CLOCK WORKS による　NEON O'CLOCK 劇場いよいよ開幕です。

場所は高円寺のGARTER ということもありペンキはがしから壁作りまですべて行います。

今年は気合いはいっています。

今回はスペースを自由に使いロンドンにいく以前の作品なども展示していますので今までにきていただいた方にも
楽しんでいただける内容になっています。

また　GARTER も新しくリニューアルしそうな勢いなのでぜひ展示期間いらしてください、

われわれももできるだけ展示会場に足を運んでみたいとおもいます。

【展覧会について】

ロンドンを活動の拠点とするヘッドプロップアーティスト河野富広と

写真家・映像作家丸山サヤカによるアーティストユニットNEON O’CLOCK WORKSに

よる約3年半ぶりの東京での映像x写真エキシビション。

タイムレスな耽美世界を追求し、その独自の美的感覚によって紡ぎだされる映像と写真は

クラシックさを感じつつもアヴァンギャルドな要素が入りまじったある種の新しい演劇的

表現とも言える。

その独特の世界感を創造するアナログとデジタルが混ざったプロセスは常に実験的であり,

創造的である。細部にわたりつくりこむことで作品がコンセプチャルに色づけされていく。

人生が一つの演劇だとしたら私たちはその演目の中で絶えず変化を繰り返している。

私たちはそれをタイムリーに感じ取り、自己の内部に外部からの色々な影響をとりこみ

それを再構築させて自己表現としてアウトプットしていくという作業を繰り返している。

♦今回の作品展では、作品集の本やDVD、写真作品の一部を販売予定。

【作品批評】

「Neon O’clock」という装置　

かつて森山大道が「写真は光の化石である」と語ったが、その謂いでいえば、

Neon O’clockのそれは「写真はネオンの光の化石」であるといえるのかもしれない。

都市の光は、記憶とイメージを絶えず「再生」し、リバイバルさせ、「上映」させる。

サーキュレートするデジャブ（既視感 déjà-vu）とジャメブ（未視感 jamais-vu）。

再会するイメージと記憶の群れ。そこに映しだされるのは透明なメランコリー。

明滅する「ネオン＝Neon」の真空管のなかに浮遊するのは、この「neos」な

ピクチャー・イメージなのだ。ゆれにそれは夜の蝶のようにとらえがたい。

けれどもNeon O’clockだけはそれを捕獲しうる。それこそが、レンズを内蔵した

「Neon O’clock」というハイパーモダンな仕掛けであり、既視感と未視感を

【作家：NEON O’CLOCK WORKSについて】

NEON O’CLOCK WORKSは、河野富広と丸山サヤカによるクリエイティブ・ユニット。ヴィジュアルメイキングを中心とした作品は、写真、映像、インスタレーション、本 (手製本作品集含め)などと幅広い。

2007年よりロンドンを拠点とし、これまでの作品は、EYEMAZING,SILVERSHOTZなどのインターナショナル・アートマガジンの表紙を飾るなどし徐々に注目を集め、アートとファッションの境界に立ちながら表現の可能性を広げる。

これまでの展示は東京・ロンドン・ドバイで行われ、今後もインターナショナルに発表の場を広げていく。

2008-2009年度作品JAPAN AVANT GARDE シリーズが、昨年ロンドンのクリスティーズのコンテンポラリーアートフェアで展示販売された。2010年映像作品DEJA VU はロンドンの BIRDS EYE VIEW FILM FESTIVAL２010で上映作品に選ばれた。

日本では装苑やQUOTATIONマガジンにアーティストとして特集される。

また、海外のミュージシャンやパフォーマーとのコラボレーションも頻繁におこなう。

個人的にも　河野はHAIR & HEAD PROP ARTIST ‘TOMIHIRO KONO’として、丸山は写真家、フィルムメーカーとして活動する。

these films we make are the way of expressing our vision to share with people.
Compared to the dark films we made last year, this year we are more into romanticism, escapism, mythical (although our eternal theme is the sense of beauty).

ABOUT THE FILM:

この映像はロンドンのキッズカンパニーの子供たちと共に制作しました。
５－１２歳の子供たちがひとりひとりの夢をデザインした
衣装を時間をかけて手作りし、
自分のなりたい姿になれることに興奮しながら、
楽しい時間を過ごしました。

その根本にあるテーマは、

the power of fashion （ファッションのもつ力／変身願望を叶えること）

Identity （自分であること）

Escapism　
(嫌な現実から逃れるために自分を再創造する行為、
それはネガティブな現実逃避というよりポジティブな働きかけ)　です。

彼らはこの撮影後、それぞれの感想を残していますが、
それはとてもも希望と自信にあふれるコメントでした。

キッズカンパニーは１９９６年に設立された
児童養護施設であり、家庭や親に問題のある
少年少女たちの教育や精神的なサポートをしています。

丸山サヤカ

1983年生まれ
1996-1999　オランダ・アムステルダム
で過ごし　ヨーロッパのアートに触れる。

2005 　多摩美術大学美術学部　情報デザイン科卒

2007- 渡英後すぐに写真を独学で学ぶ。以後、
ファッション／アートの分野で幅広く活動。

ファッションマガジンのための撮り下しや、
東京・ドバイ・ロンドンのギャラリーでの写真展／
インスタレーション展示、コンテンポラリーアートフェア

(オークションハウス：クリスティーズ, ロンドン)での作品展示、
ロンドンファッションウィークのショーの
アートディレクション、ミュージシャンや
パフォーマーの映像ディレクション／編集など。

また、パーソナルワークとしてこれまでの作品(2005-2010)を手製本している。

今後も、写真や映像を中心に
ビジュアルディレクション／制作をおこなっていく。

また、2004年より現在に至るまで、パートナーの河野富広と
アートユニットNEON O'CLOCK WORKSとして活動。
これまでに ART DIRECTION, 写真、映像、
ドローイング、パフォーマンス、出版物など様々な媒体にて
コンセプチャルな作品を発表している。

2007 年に、コルセットによる女性の美意識／
拘束の中に見いだす美をテーマにした作品
「KRAGENEIDECHESE」がスタジオパラポリカから出版された。

2009年１月オランダのコンテンポラリー写真誌
EYEMAZINGにより「JAPAN AVANT GARDE」発表。表紙を飾る。
その写真がドバイ、ロンドン、パリなどのギャラリーより注目される。

2010年「DEJA VU」発表。写真
／映像／パフォーマンスを交えたディレクションで、
装苑にも紹介される。

2010年「DEJA VU」発表。写真／映像／パフォーマンスを交え

たディレクションで、装苑/ QUOTATIONS にも紹介される。

現在はNEON O'CLOCK WORKSとして日本の神話を題材にした映

像作品と「続・ジャパンアヴァンギャルド」の写真／映像作品を制作中。
2011年9月頃発表予定。

It was still earthquake happening so i was bit nervous at that time.
I really enjoyed cherry blossom everywhere so it was good.
